Katherine Holmes

Katherine graduated from City University with a Masters in Electronic Publishing before working in online quality assurance, the elearning industry, traditional publishing and even online journalism before she decided to branch out on her own. She currently project manages all manner of digital and print projects under the umbrella of ProjectPublish Ltd. Her speciality is facilitating the realisation of any creative concept or dream. If you need a website, a book, business card, Twitter background, Facebook fan page or a new fashion retail bag - ProjectPublish will ensure you have the right people to carry it out and “put you out there”. Katherine finds rebranding addictive, buying domain names therapeutic and purchasing new fonts her one guilty pleasure. Katherine believes that almost all creativity starts with a domain name.....understandable when you have your own hosting setup! Mihai Dorhan @ mihaidorhan.com

Mihai graduated from Kingston University with a Masters in User Interaction Design and then started designing websites in partnership with ProjectPublish. Initially he worked in Media and Communications but changed to webdesign when he got really bored of writing press releases using the same 240 words over and over again. He realised that webdesign is a much more exciting and creative activity. Mihai is most happy when SmashingMagazine releases a  new tutorial on Photoshop textures and has his own website at mihaidorhan.com with his latest projects. Other passions include rock music ( Mihai plays the guitar while a website is being uploaded via FTP) books and movies. And football. 

Cassara Burgess @ Click Right Communications

A User Experience Consultancy with clients from start-ups and creative agencies to multinational organisations.Click Right devises and leads customer experience strategies for large and small scale projects by bringing together user needs, business requirements and content.User Experience Consultant Cassara Burgess crossed over to the digital world whilst working in Public Relations 12 years ago. She has crafted, from concept to delivery, the experience for a range of e-commerce and information websites (Digital UK, BT Business, Moneysupermarket, Morrisons, Ferrero, Douwe Egberts, UpMyStreet and uSwitch). Faye-Marie Cloete @ Nova Communications

Faye-Marie Cloete is currently the managing director of Nova Communications, a specialist company focusing on customised business communication, based in Gaborone, Botswana.  Before starting her company, Faye-Marie honed her writing, editing, media and marketing skills working for Avusa Media’s digital operations, namely Sunday Times, Sowetan and Sunday World.  She gained further experience, particularly in corporate publishing, as Total South Africa’s Corporate Communications Manager where she was responsible for crafting and implementing internal and external communication strategies in both print and digital mediums. She holds a four-year Bachelor of Journalism degree from Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa.

Simoné Pentz @ Simé Creation

Simoné is a first rate designer with nearly 10 years of experience in graphic design and whose portfolio includes the likes of Dimension Data, SAPPI, Kool Kidz Corp, FNB, Teach South Africa, Sun International, Harley Davidson, Hilton Weiner, Taggs and the fabulous new chocolatier, Chocolate, in Sandton City, South Africa. With her cool eye for detail any design is in safe hands. In addition to her exquisite Adobe Creative Suite and Corel Draw skills Simoné is also a talented wildlife artist and book maker. Despite being a workaholic she is always available for commissioned work. Fortunately, you will soon be able to see more of her fabulous work on her soon to be launched website @ www.simecreation.com When Simoné is not at her desk or easel she is taking it easy with her husband and pet chameleon, Spyro.

Shane Andersen @ Fine-Tuned Copy

Shane Andersen wrote her first novel at age 7. Fortunately she did not need to pitch publishing houses as she was a one-woman self-publishing band, churning out hand-made copies to exhausted family members. With a Bachelor of Journalism in her pocket, she kicked off her career in writing and editing at the Sunday Times Online (Avusa, South Africa). Since then she ventured overseas, working as one of the founding members of a London-based publishing company’s pioneering online division, and then joining the corporate world as Emirates Airline’s Online Content Manager for nearly 3 years. She has now gone full circle and has returned to running her own operation as a freelance copywriter, based in Dubai. Shane specialises in a wide range of writing styles. Whether it’s corporate or wildly creative, it’s always professional.

Claire Fraser

Claire Fraser graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal with a degree in law, however, her vocation has always been the written word and from an early age, she has been a keen journal-writer and consumer of books. She has recently completed a teen novel, which is currently due for publication. In addition, she specialises in the conception and editing of creative pieces, and derives great joy from the creation of every sentence - developing and fine-tuning every word until she puts the final full stop on each project.

Rachel Casali

Rachel Casali is a joint honours English literature and Italian graduate with a passion for learning languages and delving into the written word. She began her career as a further education lecturer in English for speakers of other languages six years ago and has now branched into teacher training and mentoring. She has worked at Price, Waterhouse & Coopers in Mexico City, International House in Dublin and at the Colosseum in Rome and has recently achieved the Chapterhouse editorial skills certificate of competence in proofreading. Recent clients include the Department for International Development. Rachel very much looks forward to extending and broadening her repertoire.
